Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German actress on television and film most well-known for her roles in movies such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. She was the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareu, Alexandra started her showbiz career from a young age. By the time she was sixteen, she had secured the leading roles in numerous TV dramas. Her portrayal of Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue, in Downfall (an Oscar-nominated historic war film) was critically as well as critically acclaimed commercially. The other Oscar nominated film starring the actress include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra is well-known for her participation in a variety of important projects in both the US as well as internationally. The projects include British biographical films like Control and The Dust of Time as well as French history mini-series Napoleon. She also remained member of the jury for the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
