Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig on September 21 1982. She is an American actor best known for her character Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV series Lost. Born in Worthington Ohio, she dropped out of high school and moved to Los Angeles with her mother after her parents divorce. In the midst of financial hardship, she got her first acting gig as the title character in the online video series Rachel's Room in the year 2001. In 2002 she was nominated to receive an Young Artist Award with her part as the 15-year-old murder victim Martha Moxley. Grace Rutherford was the lead actor in Lost in its two initial seasons.
